The Kona Coffee is grown in Hawaii big island. Only about 20 miles stretch of land in this island is ideal to grow coffee-hence the rarity of this coffee.
The ideal Hawaii climate; fertile volcanic soil, sun, rain conspire to produce one of the best coffees.
The Kona coffee is classified depending on the bean’s size (bigger the better) shape, moisture content and number of defects. The highest grade is the Kona Extra Fancy, followed by Kona Fancy, then Kona number1, then Kona Select and Kona prime.
